Me, IPL and Virat Kohli!

I was in Chennai last week for a couple of days. The plan was to say a good-bye to all relatives, spend max time with my brother and generally mooch around. Unbeknown-st to me, the ipl fever was catching up to me. More specifically, Virat Kohli fever.

My cousin had tickets for the IPL match. I didn't. Suddenly i realized that maybe i could get some from someone somewhere. A sudden flurry of activity and some money changed hands, and i was the proud owner of an IPL ticket. That too for the first live cricket match of my life! Oh joy! And that's when i found out that RCB had Virat in it. (You might notice that i didn't know that before. Gulp! "To watch and enjoy a match, what is the need to know each and every player" has been my all-prevailing motto. So now suddenly, the only reason i was going for the match was Virat.

The day was super sunny. So, so hot and the sun was directly on my face. (Resulting in a very deep tan, thank you Virat!!). The match was in Chennai, between chennai super kings and RCB. 99% of the stadium supported CSK. I, and my cousin's friend were in love with Virat. My cousin for weird reasons supported RCB too. So, we were the only ones sort of going against the tide. The stadium would scream with joy if CSK scored, and we would be sad. For a CSK wicket, we would dance with joy. A lot of people were glaring at us and if looks could kill, well you wouldn't be reading this blog now!

Sadly, Virat lost. I mean, RCB lost. We screamed ourselves hoarse, but not once did Virat look. :( But, I saw a match, had a great time and will watch a match again. Pssst: Virat should play.
